Support available to families in India
Many families never claim what they are entitled to. Our counselling team can help you understand and apply for these.
RPwD Act, 2016
The Rights of Persons with Disabilities Act recognises 21 disabilities and guarantees rights to education, accessibility and non-discrimination.
UDID Card
The Unique Disability ID is a single national document used to access schemes, concessions and benefits across India.
Inclusive Schooling
Children with disabilities have the right to study in regular schools with reasonable accommodation and support.
Assistive Devices
Government schemes support aids and appliances. We guide families on what suits their child and how to obtain it.
Samarth is not a government body and does not issue certificates or UDID cards. We help families understand the process and prepare their documents.
Questions parents ask us first
What age groups does Samarth work with?+
We work with children and adults across age groups. The right starting point depends on the initial assessment, so share your child's age when you enquire and we will guide you.
Do we need a diagnosis or disability certificate before joining?+
No. You can come in without any paperwork. Our initial assessment identifies needs, and our counselling team can then guide you on certification and UDID if it would help your child.
Which therapies are available at the centre?+
Psychology and assessment, physiotherapy, occupational therapy, speech therapy and yoga therapy, alongside special education, vocational training and wellness activities such as aerobics, taekwondo and sports.
How is progress tracked?+
Every child has an individual intervention plan. Progress is monitored continuously and reviewed with parents, and the plan is revised as your child develops.
Can I visit the centre before deciding?+
Yes. Call or WhatsApp us to arrange a visit during working hours — Monday to Saturday, 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM.
Which languages does your team work in?+
Our team supports families in Hindi and English, so you can discuss your child's plan in whichever language you are most comfortable with.
